Types of Submissions

- Abstract: Abstract should not have more than 600 words.

- Extended Abstract (Work in Progress): The extended abstract should not exceed 2 pages (including introduction, body of knowledge and conclusion, supported by not more than 10 references).

- Full Paper: You are allowed between 6 to 8 pages for your paper (including all figures, tables, and references). If you are planning to submit a Full Paper, you do not need to submit an Extended Abstract.

- Student Paper: Research done by students in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. A total of 3 to 4 pages for a student paper including all figures, tables, and references.

- Poster: The poster can be presented either in Microsoft Power Point (not more than 20 slides) or as A0 paper size (1189 x 841 mm). In addition to the poster’s display, authors must submit their posters in the form of an extended abstract (should not exceed 2 pages) that will be included in the conference proceedings. The posters’ display will run throughout the duration of the conference.

- Case Studies: Case studies in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. Case studies should not exceed 4 pages including introduction, body of knowledge and conclusion, supported by not more than 10 references.

- Session Speaker: The i-Society 2026 invites sessions speakers to share their knowledge on issues or subject matters of the research work with a session. To be a session speaker, you need to email:

- Presentation Title
- Scope (300 words)
- Objective and Motivation (200 words)
- Name, Affiliation and Email

- Panel Discussion: Proposals from those who would like to facilitate a panel discussion are welcomed. The proposals may address any of the topics falling within the scope of the conference themes. Panel Discussions provide an opportunity for public discussion amongst a selected group of panellists. Central to the success of a panel discussion is the choice of a good topic as the focus for discussion and panellists who bring differing perspectives and are confident in making clear arguments in a live situation. Panels should comprise of three to five scholars who present their arguments; a discussant offers critical comment on the arguments made and the discussion is opened up to the participating audience. The proposal must include:
- Title,
- Panel Chair(s) (if necessary),
- Speakers Name,
- Affiliation and Email,
- Scope,
- Objective and motivation.
The i-Society will set aside space for those who wish to pursue discussion of a particular topic or issue. Interested individuals should submit a proposal for i-Society 2026 (not more than 400 words) before or by the 16th of March, 2026. In addition, the proposal should indicate the duration of the panel discussion (preferred duration is 90 minutes). All accepted Panel Discussion proposal will be published in the Conference Proceedings. - Work-in-Progress Reports or Proposals for Future Research: Incomplete research or ideas for future research in order to generate discussion and feedback in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. A total of 4 to 6 pages for a work-in-progress reports or proposals for future research including all figures, tables, and references.

Submission and Review Process
1. Submit your research work (abstract, extended abstract, poster or paper).
2. You research work will be sent for a double blind review.
3. You will receive an email notification if you research work is accepted or rejected.
4. As soon as you receive an email notification, please proceed with your registration.
5. After your registration you will receive an invitation letter and feedback on how the research work can be improved.
6. After applying the reviewers’ feedback to your submission, please email the final version to final_paper@i-society.eu
Post Conference Publication and Indexing
All accepted abstracts, extended abstracts, papers and posters will be included to the conference proceedings with ISBN and DOI. After the conference, the authors will be invited to contribute to book chapters and to extend their papers for journal publications (no SPC/APC applies):
Format of Presentations

Paper sessions will consist of three to four presentations in a 90 minute session. You are expected to present your paper within 20 minutes including question time. The session will be divided equally between the presenters. Each presenter will be expected to have the presentation slides in Microsoft Power Point.

Workshop presentations will be given a full 90 minute session. The style of the presentation depends on the organiser(s). Some workshops may contain paper presentation, while others may base their workshop on recent research breaking ground outcome in the form of discussion, or exploratory research work.

Panel sessions will provide an opportunity for three or more presenters to speak in a more open and conversational setting with conference attendees. Submissions for these 90 minute sessions should include the name, department, affiliation, and email address of each panellist in addition to a description of the presentation and the title page.
- Poster sessions: All posters will be displayed in the open area around to the registration desk. The authors must prepare 20 minutes Power Point presentations. The presentations will be scheduled along with other papers presentations within the sessions.
